Darkness Always Serves The Light

Lately, there have been many revelations about the evil that lurks in every corner of our society. The shadow of humanity is coming up to the surface for everyone to see, and things only seem to be getting more intense. The outrage is becoming global as more people wake up to a grotesque and parasitic system that has kept us all enslaved and docile for centuries.

In times like these, it’s easy to fall into despair and get swallowed by our own hopelessness about the world and the future. Even to those who have seen the higher perspective, it can be unsettling when we find ourselves face to face with the darkness that surrounds us.

The truth is, the more we awaken our consciousness, the more sensitive we become to the darkness in others and in ourselves. One who is not awakened is not jarred by the wickedness of this world; he sleeps comfortably in hell, because hell is all he knows. He is devoid of care or compassion; he walks through life inflicting pain and causing destruction, and we say he is an evil one, but in reality, he doesn’t even know he is evil. He believes he is right and feels justified in the things he does. He doesn’t have the capacity to see himself clearly; to realise that he is bringing hell on Earth – because he already lives in hell.

We call such people evil, but what is evil? Evil comes from the lowest states of consciousness, the states where there is no insight, no wisdom, no love, and no awareness. These are states where there’s very little left of the true essence of the person, and they are entirely controlled by the ego. Such people are walking shadows because there’s hardly any light of consciousness in them. They are empty black holes. Similarly to how cancer cells devour everything around them, they need to devour the energy of others to survive, because they have none of their own.

Such people often get ahead in society because they don’t hesitate to exploit, deceive, and hurt others. You will likely find them in positions of power. They are starving for power and control over others, because they don’t have power and control over their own consciousness. Their psyche is a playground for demonic entities in the form of thoughts, beliefs, concepts, and feelings. They are at the mercy of whatever low-vibrational form gets hold of them at any particular moment. This is a lamentable state to be in. Karma is always instant for such people because their karma is their own state of being. The suffering and destruction they cause to everyone and everything around them is always equivalent to their own suffering and self-destruction.

It’s a positive thing that now we finally have the eyes to see the truth about such people. We are awakening to the evil forces that we have allowed to subjugate us, and it’s a painful process, but an indispensable one. It’s the growing pains of the mass expansion of consciousness. We need to shed the light of consciousness on the darkness, so that it can be transformed. When we shine a light in a dark corner, the darkness is absorbed by the light, and it no longer is. This is what’s happening in the world right now, more powerfully than ever before.

The reason the world can feel dystopian these days is because the more asleep we are, the more darkness we need to wake us up. Darkness and evil are simply a lack of conscious awareness; they are spiritual immaturity. Nevertheless, they have an important purpose: to tell us that we are going in the wrong direction; that we must change, or we will suffer immeasurably. By witnessing darkness, we realise how urgent it is to find our own light.

Witnessing the darkness of others helps us face the darkness in ourselves. The world is a reflection of each and every one of us as individuals. The microcosm is contained in the macrocosm, and the macrocosm is contained in the microcosm – as above, so below. If we want to bring change to the world, we must acknowledge our own darkness first – we must face the things that we are unconscious of, because they will always cause destruction on some level, even if it’s seemingly insignificant to us.

No one sees themselves as evil until they truly face their own shadow. We might even consider ourselves virtuous, because we are generally benign people – we fulfil our responsibilities, we don’t go out of our way to cause harm, and we are liked by others. Yet beneath the surface, we don’t introspect; we don’t think about the consequences of our mechanical everyday actions; we aren’t really concerned with much outside of our immediate environment or circle; we don’t question our thoughts and beliefs.

This causes us to live life asleep – we live on autopilot, doing everything we’ve been taught by our parents, by the government, and by our social circle, trying our best to fit in. We worship materialism, vanity, and fame, just because that’s what our culture tells us. We go with the status quo created by others who are just as asleep as we are. And so, darkness perpetuates itself.

But if we stopped for a moment to consider why we think what we think, and why we do the things we do, we might find that a lot of it is unconscious; that we do and think what we have been programmed to do and think.

We might think we are good people, yet we never reflect on the imprint we leave behind us. Are we falling for consumerism because it’s been normalised? Are we eating food and wearing clothes that have caused someone tremendous suffering, just because everyone else is doing so? Are we indulging in things that keep us sedated and numb? Are we trying our best to regulate our nervous system, so that we don’t put our inner stress and conflict on others? Are we going within to find our own truth about life, so that we can benefit the world in our own unique way?

This isn’t about judging ourselves or others, but about taking responsibility for our own lives. The only way to change the world is to change ourselves. People like to point fingers and condemn the evil of others, but are blind to their own darkness. Some like to protest and riot against injustice, attempting to change their external reality by force, but all of this is futile and meaningless if we aren’t working on changing ourselves first.

We must acknowledge and accept that the darkness we see in the world is a reflection of the darkness within us all as individuals (Read: Mastering  The Mirror Of Reality). By shining our awareness on this, we transmute the darkness into light. There is no need to fight the shadow, because whatever you fight, you strengthen; we must simply observe it, and when we do so, it starts to dissipate on its own.

The more darkness we face, the more opportunity we have to strengthen our conscious will and to choose to go in the opposite direction. This needs to happen on an individual level first, before it’s reflected in the external world. This is why awakening our consciousness is the most important thing we can do for the world.

A person who is awake is conscious of their thoughts, feelings, and actions, and is no longer a robotic entity that goes with the flow of destruction, chaos, and ignorance that surrounds them. An awakened person knows themselves deeply because they don’t run from their own shadow – they seek it intentionally and sublimate it into light, and thus they no longer perpetuate the darkness. The greatest gift we can give to humanity is to strive for our own awakening.

Nevertheless, it’s important to know that not everyone is meant to awaken in their current incarnation. Perpetuating darkness and evil can be the purpose of some people in this life. Their soul might have chosen this incredibly difficult path, so it can be a powerful mirror for the rest of humanity; to make us see what we absolutely don’t want, so we can move in the direction of what we do want. Through darkness we come to know ourselves. From the highest perspective, the darkness is there to serve the expansion of our consciousness; the expansion of the light.

In this age of Kali Yuga, we need an enormous amount of darkness to awaken us. We must utilise this darkness for its intended purpose. We must stop seeing ourselves as victims of the external world and start asking ourselves, “What can I learn from this, and what is my reaction to it showing me about myself?” We must start seeing every challenge as an opportunity, and we must comprehend that it’s there to help us grow and expand.

The kind of darkness that we reject and condemn the most in others is usually the kind of darkness we reject and condemn the most in ourselves. We are deeply outraged at the perversity of others, but we neglect our own perversity. We abhor the greed and gluttony of others, but we fail to see it in ourselves. We rage against the angry ones and judge the judgemental. We are asleep to our own psychological defects but see them clearly in the other.

Once we start expanding our awareness, we don’t bother pointing fingers anymore, because we know that we are just pointing at the mirror. We start acknowledging our own shadow without condemning it. Compassion supersedes loathing. Awareness replaces ignorance. We start to transmute our own shadow into light, and our external world must follow.

The more we awaken, the less darkness will manifest in our reality, because the less we will need it. What we call evil isn’t there to make us lose all hope; it’s there for our benefit, ultimately. It’s there to guide us back to the right path when we have strayed too far. It’s there to make us consciously choose the light; to turn in the direction of who we truly are. The more we start doing this of our own volition, the less darkness we would require to force us into doing it.

If we want to make the darkness disappear, we must face the darkness within ourselves fist, and transmute it into light. The external world is nothing but an aftermath of the state we are in as individuals, and as a collective. Those who think that trying to change the world by changing themselves is a lost cause are completely blind to their own power. We are all interconnected, and every step we take towards the light on and individual level ripples out into the fabric of reality and affects everything else in existence. It’s time we start choosing each step on our path wisely, because it has more weight than we might realise.
